Biggest knit is done!!

Completely finished. Ok well I need a shawl pin or button or something but that's not needlework. In reality too me about 3 days to make. And that's not 3 full days. It worked up really rather quickly. I'm really pleased with it and can't wait to wear it out of the house.

It just needs sleeves

Wow!!  What an amazing project!  It looks phenomenal and I can't wait to have it completely finished. Buttons and sleeves and I get to wear it on our date :)

Things just work out

So much better when you are using the right pattern / yarn!!

This far :(

Along and I realize that I made one fatal error. I'm using bulky instead of super bulky :(. Sniff sniff. I might have to frog it and check the inland pattern. I think I got my yarns mixed up.

Good thing i've really learned patience in the past few years!!

Because I just can't help myself

Not like I needed to start yet another project. But none the less I did.

Yup yet another etsy purchase!

Project: Diamond eyelet wrap sweater
Started February 18
Hook: 4mm bamboo
Yarn: Patons dk super wash wool
Finished:

Finished one more project

The chai spice bolero (attempt #2) is done. I like this one quite a bit more!  This was from an etsy pattern I bought if I remember correctly :)

Still doesn't seem to be as long on me as it does on the mannequin and as i'm short i'm kinda surprised. But this used up all the yarn and so far have no plans to frog it.

Working on a Frayed Knot Emersyn Newsboy Hat. Using vanna's choice in blue. Gonna put a tweed flower on the side if I ever finish it. Lol

Using J hook
Worsted Weight yarn

Ribbit .... A frogging I will go

I've ripped out the hat and am starting over on it.  The hook was too small and the hat ended up being just too small. It could have stretched but it just wasn't right.

Crochet Brioche Sweater ... New Project

Well this I started last night .... It looks so COZY!  It requires 9 balls of super chunky and as of about 10 minutes ago I finished the first ball.

The hook required for this project is massive!!  Q - 15mm

Although this will be fun and should work up fairly quick I am never one to only have one project on the go at a time lol. So i've also got a cream catch the wave blanket in the go ....

This one has 104 rows to it, so I will pick at it a little each day. Keeping from the monotony and boredom of what a blanket usually holds for it worker.

The catch the wave blanket is a free cascade yarns pattern (yes done ironically by the same designer as the crazy one - oh right I still haven't told that entire story).

I've got some beautiful chai a price yarn that's once again calling my name to come and play with .... Seems like yet another project is soon to be started.

Yarn-mas

Yesterday was "yarn-mas" in my house. As you look at me with one of those faces you already have an idea of where this post is leading to ....

Yup you're right roughly 50 beautiful soft cuddly balls of yarn landed on my door step.

My very first order from herrschners arrived yesterday. After 2 weeks of trying to place the order about a dozen phone calls with Christine (one of their customer service reps) and another week of waiting my yarn has arrived safe and sound. I'm very pleased with their customer service for sure and the yarn well I can't wait to dive in and make some soft and cozy items!!

First up .... Now where did I put that massive blue hook??

So as I was crocheting today ....

I realized that I am always excited about what I am working on and not always have someone to share my excitement with!  So in my pursuits of That's How She Hooks our blog has been created.

Here is what I am currently working on (I'll post the entire story behind this pattern shortly).
